Several causes including environment problems related to network (VTAM and/or CCI). In this case the protocol used was VTAM/APPC.
For this particular occurrence of the problem, the MSF links have been removed and redefined as a workaround.
If this action is not desirable or possible, open a case with the Broadcom support team.
