Notification emails are not sent for Modify tasks

Issue/Introduction

CA Identity Manager (IM) Modify User tasks with approval are not sending an email message to the "Approver" advising them that they have work to do.

 

Example steps to Reproduce:

 

  1. Logon to the CA Identity Manager (IM) User Console as an administrative user.
  2. Navigate to Tasks -> System -> Email -> Create Email.
  3. From the "Sender" Tab, select the Admin email address.
  4. From the "When to Send" tab, select "Working Pending - SingleStepApproval"
  5. Recipients tab, for TO field, select Workflow Approvers

 

If you now Modify User, an email is not sent as expected.

Cause

This is a programmatic (code) issue.

Release : 14.3 CP1

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

A 14.3 CP1 hotfix has been released for this issue.  "HF-DE442369-20200123-0001.tgz.gpg" is available upon request.
