Issue/Introduction

Can you tell me what this message means?

2020-01-24 09:36:04,213 | INFO  | Usage Manager Memory Limit (209715200) reached on queue://PRQ, size 109001. Producers will be throttled to the rate at which messages are removed from this destination to prevent flooding it. See http://activemq.apache.org/producer-flow-control.html for more info. | org.apache.activemq.broker.region.Queue | ActiveMQ VMTransport: vm://da_broker#31-2

Environment

All supported releases

Cause

200MB is the PRQ size. It means the DA is consuming data sent to it from the Data Collectors (DCs) as fast as it can, but the DCs are sending more than it can process at a time.

It tells the DC that it should resend the data again.

Resolution

If the message only happened for a short time there may have been a disconnect between DA and DC, and this is normal during the catch up phase.

If it happens continually ensure the Data Aggregator has the current resource configuration per an environment sizing.

It if happens continually and the Data Aggregator has the correct resources allocated, ensure the Data Aggregator is correctly configured to use the available resources.

Additional Information

Configure Data Aggregator to use resources available.
