Issue/Introduction

We're running an AdminUI and we'd like to know how to change the log
folder of the embedded JBoss server. Can we do that ? And if yes, how
can we change the log folder ?

Environment

AdminUI 12.8SP3 on RedHat 7;

Resolution

At first glance, at date of 2020-01-24, the product hasn't been
conceived nor fully tested internally to support the logging in order
repository, so modification at that level are on your own risk.

According to Wildfly documentation and some experience from internet,
the server can be modified that way on Linux to set the logging folder
in /tmp for example.

To illustrate, the following configuration will make the AdminUI
server.log file to be written in the /tmp folder :

In standalone-full.xml modify the following :

under :        <subsystem xmlns="urn:jboss:domain:logging:2.0">

Modify
                <file path="server.log" relative-to="jboss.server.log.dir"/>
to
                <file path="/tmp/server.log"/>

but again, as customization, this configuration will be under your
entire responsibility.
