TEMP Tablespace for Automic Database continually growing, causing ORA-01652 errors.

Issue/Introduction

In systems with low workload, it is possible to run into the following error:

ORA-01652: unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace

Upon review, the database administrators will see a large memory load caused by the Java Worker Process and Java Communication Process.

Release : 12.1

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Cause

In some scenarios, the Java Worker Process and Java Communication Process would not commit after a transaction if there were no records to process (idle).

Resolution

This has been resolved in

Automation Engine 12.1.7

This did not affect the 12.2 or 12.3 versions.
