Installation of Database on a Distant Node for WAAE AutoSys

Issue/Introduction

Can we have Autosys running on RedHat 6.1 and connected to an ORACLE database running on RedHat 7.1

 

 

Environment

Release : 11.3.6

Component : CA Workload Automation AE

Resolution

You can have Autosys running on RedHat 6.1 and connected to an ORACLE database running on RedHat 7.1.


We recommend you to install the latest WAAE AutoSys Release 11.3.6 SP7 or SP8.

 

Please note when you install the "Database Server" on a Distant Node, you will need to install and configure

a "32-bit Database Client" on the Local node where you will install the AutoSys Application Server and Scheduler.

 

The Database Server can be 64_bit. But as WAAE Autosys 11.3.6 SPx code is 32-bit, the "32-bit Database Client" is required.
