VM:Secure for z/VM

Issue/Introduction

Do we need to recycle VM Secure?  And, where do we put the new LMP keys into VM:Secure without bringing down the software.

Environment

Release : 3.2

Component : CA VM:Secure for z/VM

Resolution

The keys are stored in a file called CALMP KEYS which resides on VMANAGER's 1FF disk. You can manually XEDIT this file to add the new key or add using the fullscreen capability called VMLMPKEY.

At initialization, all of the VM:Manager products link to VMANAGER's 1FF disk as their own 1FF. After adding a new key, it is recommended that you recycle the product to pick up the change.

If you'd prefer to not recycle VMSECURE after adding the new key, you could re-access the Z disk while it is up.

Additional Information
