How to set a custom subsystem ID for nas alarms?

Issue/Introduction

We are looking to set custom susbystem IDs in our environment and need to have the alarms from the nas probe use a specific subsystem id when the alarm is sent. Currently it uses the AlarmServer (1.2.3.3)

Is there a way to set this to have it pick up a custom value ?

We want to avoid the use of LUA scripts if possible.

Environment

Release : 8.51

Component : UIM NAS 9.06HF6

Resolution

The nas.cfg can be edited to set this.

1/ Deactivate the nas probe

2/ Backup the nas.cfg in the nas probe folder.

3/ Edit the subsystem ids in the <subsystems></subsystems> section e.g.

   7.1.1. = AlarmServer

4/ Activate the nas probe and confirm the changes are working as required.

 

Note: the end period is required.

All changes should be thoroughly tested prior to implementation in a Production Environment.
