AWI: Session Color not displayed in IE/Edge Tab Icon

Issue/Introduction

The Session color chosen during logon to AWI is shown correctly on Tabs if you use Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Chromium based Edge.

In case of Internet Explorer or legacy Microsoft Edge the Session Color is not taken into account in the Tab Icon.

Release : 12.3

Component : Automic Web Interface

 

Cause

Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge do not respond properly to the event to change the "favicon" (icon displayed next to the address).

This can not be fixed, as it is a Microsoft Internet Explorer/Edge internal issue.

Resolution

In order to use the Session Color Icons in AWI, please use another Web Browser such as:

Google Chrome, Firefox and the Chromium based Microsoft Edge.
