After an upgrade to 15.7.1 the scheduled jobs notification not working properly

Issue/Introduction

  • Users are getting Notifications on job completion even though the job setups do not have "Notify on Success" set for any resources or groups.
  • For the Time Slicing job, this can cause emails/notifications to be sent every minute
STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 

1. Schedule any job 
2. Under GROUPS TO NOTIFY ON FAILURE select a group which you are part of to be notified.
3. Click Submit

Expected Results: You are only notified when job failed

Actual Results: You are notified when job completes

Resolution

Defect DE52758, Fixed in 15.8.

Workaround: Use RESOURCES TO NOTIFY ON FAILURE instead of group
