Issue/Introduction

As part of setting the administration configuration options, you can configure the mail server for sending automated messages from CA Service Catalog.

The question here is how to configure Service Catalog to use Office365 as an SMTP service.

Environment

CA Service Catalog 17.1 and higher.

Resolution

There is a certification request to our Engineering team inquiring about the support matrix information about Service Catalog with Microsoft Exchange online (Office365). Based on the Supportability Matrix for Service Management, Service Catalog supports Microsoft Exchange (Office 365) for Mail configuration with basic level authentication. Only Service Desk product is certified to Microsoft Exchange online (Office365).
