Issue/Introduction

How sepmdd daemon determine to take backup of pmd audit log (pmd_audit) file.

Environment

CA Privileged Identity Manager: All supported versionOperating System: Unix / Linux, (Windows)

Resolution

sepmdd daemon obtains following tokens from seos.ini file to take backup of pmd_audit file because those tokens are not existed in pmd.ini file as initial state.

It means the backup of pmd_audit file is taken as same way as the backup of seos.audit file.

seos.ini file

[logmgr]
audit_size
BackUp_Date

If you want to change the value of those tokens only effective for the backup of pmd_audit file, then you can simply add those tokens in pmd.ini file.

After adding those tokens, you need to restart sepmdd daemon.

pmd.ini file

[logmgr]

audit_size

BackUp_Date

Then, sepmdd daemon obtains those tokens from pmd.ini file and takes backup of pmd_audit file in accordace with the specified values in those tokens.
