Locked custom fields after creation

Issue/Introduction

Some custom string fields created for users are not editable anymore. E.g. for the field string length which should be changeable to a maximum 2000 of characters cannot be modified. 

Why have the custom fields become noneditable?

Component : CA PPM SAAS PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Cause

This was due to trying to amend the string length of a Clarity PPM object's child attribute instead of the parent.

Resolution

The user was trying to amend the string length of a Clarity PPM object's child attribute instead of the parent. Once the parent attribute was selected the string length could be changed.
