Issue/Introduction

Question: Is there a way to prevent users to connect to Automation Engine using Java UserInterface (thick client)?

Resolution

Answer: No, there is no way to prevent customers from using JavaUI.

However, keep in mind that JavaUI is not supported with Automation Engine v12.1 or higher; it is also not compatible with Automation Engine as of version 12.1. Users may run into all sorts of problems using JavaUI, and if any issues arise (missing functionality, errors, etc.), Support cannot assist them since it is not supported. As of version 12.1, Automic Web Interface is utilized as a replacement for JavaUI.
