Issue/Introduction

How to Download , Install  and configure GMU (Gateway Migration Utility)

Cause

Customer need to export some of folders and need details about how to install GMU and run a script similar to :


$ ./GatewayMigrationUtility.sh migrateOut --argFile commonarguments.properties --folderName /F1 --dest F1.xml –includeOnlyDependencies

 

Environment

Release : 9.2, 9.3, 9.4

Component : API GTW ENTERPRISE MANAGER

Resolution

1. Download the "CA API Gateway Development Tools" from this link (need to login) :


https://support.broadcom.com/download-center/download-center.html

2. Search : API Gateway from Download Manager "Search Your Product"


From the Listed Products Names , Select : CA API Gateway Enterprise MULTI-PLATFORM

From the Component List ,  Select : 
CA API Gateway Development Tools-9.4- Custom Assertion Dev Kit, Gateway Management Dev kit and Client, Gateway Migration Utility - GMU
GEN500000000002076.zip


or search directly by : "CA API Gateway Development Tools"

3. Download GEN500000000002076.zip and copy into you Policy Manager Server and  unzip the file.

4. Select "GatewayMigrationUtility-1.6.00-729.zip", unzip the file.

5. To configure , follow the instructions from the link below

./GatewayMigrationUtility.sh migrateOut -z gateway.properties -folderName / -d otk_temp -f directory --defaultAction NewOrUpdate && (cd otk_temp && tar c .) | (cd otk_mag  && tar xf -) && rm -rf otk_temp

In command:
./GatewayMigrationUtility.sh migrateIn -z local.properties -b otk_mag -r result.xml

steps needed.
- Creating the folders manually on the target gateway.
- Updating the mappings for those folders as follows:
- GatewayMigrationUtility.sh manageMappings --bundle ${bundle} --type FOLDER --srcId '${originFolderSrcId}' --targetName '${targetFolderName}'
