Issue/Introduction

DevTest 10.5 Registry configured with MySQL, in the Portal under Settings->Agents shows: The broker cannot be detected.

 

The broker process is running however.

The problem does not occur with Derby and SQL Server.
The problem related to MySQL can be observed both for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.

Environment

Release : 10.5

Component : CA Application Test, CA Continuous Application Insight (PathFinder)

Resolution

A patch is available to resolve this issue.
Please open a case with CA Broadcom support and request the patch, referring to defect: DE443753

Instructions to apply the patch (lisa-pathfinder-invoke-10.5.0.war)
NOTE: Patch should be installed on registry machine only

Steps:
1. Stop Registry service
2. Create a folder named "patches" under LISA_HOME\webserver
3. Place the patch file lisa-pathfinder-invoke-10.5.0.war in the patches folder created in previous step
4. Start Registry service
5. Login to Portal and check if the agents appear now
