Issue/Introduction

How do I enable passphrase support in CA 7?  Is anything required for passphrase support when WebClient and IDash are being used?

Resolution

To turn on passphrase support in CA 7,  add LONGPASS to the EXTERNAL keyword on the SECURITY statement in the INIT deck.

Sample security statement:

SECURITY,NAME=SASSSECI,EXTERNAL=(LOGON,COMMAND,LONGPASS)

A recycle of the CA 7 started task is required.   Nothing additional is required for  passphrase support when Webclient or IDash are being used with CA 7.
