Issue/Introduction

When attempting to access JasperSoft via xFlow/Insights, receive the following error:

Error Creating User In Jaspernull

Environment

JasperSoft 6.4.x and 7.x

All Supported Windows Operating Systems

Resolution

Check to see if the following file is missing from the CA Business Intelligence\apache-tomcat\webapps\jasperserver-pro\WEB-INF directory on the JasperSoft server:

applicationContext-externalAuth-template-mt.xml

Not having this file in place has been known to cause the error

You can find that file <Jasper media directory>\samples directory, i.e.

     a. applicationContext.xml
     b. applicationContext-externalAuth-LDAP-mt.xml
     c. applicationContext-externalAuth-template-mt.xml
     d. js.externalAuth.properties
