Issue/Introduction
During installation we are trying to install CA Advanced Authentication with SQL server database on non-default port 1441 and it is unable to connect to the database during the test connection. Can we connect Arcot to the Arcot database on a port other than 1433.
Environment
Any SQL server, Any Webfort on any OS
Resolution
1433 is the default SQL server Port for databases. In order to use any other port to connect to Arcot database on SQL server, you need to change the PORT on the "SQL server Connection Manager".
Go to SQL server Connection Manager
Expand "SQL Server Network Configuration". Under here click "Protocols for MSSSQLSERVER.
A dialog box will open and here you can change the PORT.
After changing the POST in above steps, use this new port when installing Arcot.
Note-> Arcot is referenced here for Strong Authentication and Risk Authentication.
