Issue/Introduction

OPS/MVS data sets were somehow converted from pds to pdse.   Will this be okay?

Cause

Unknown how the data sets were converted

Resolution

PDSE format is not encouraged for RULE datasets. There are no previous reports of problems regarding REXX data sets in PDSE format, so they may be okay. Be aware that all data sets in the SYSEXEC concatenation need to have consistent record formats and logical record lengths per IBM documentation. It is Broadcom's recommendation that both of these types of data sets be in PDS format.
