Issue/Introduction

Base installation for the Database Management Solutions for Db2 for z/OS r20 version fails during the APPLY process with error:

BPXF140E RETURN CODE 00000090, REASON CODE 0549010C.  A LINK FAILED FOR LINK NAME /xxx/dbmgmt/xxx/../DBT_hold.sh.
SMPOUT states:HFSCOPY PROCESSING TO THE CINSHFS LINRARY FAILED FOR SHELLSCCR INSSHELL IN SYSMOD CINSK00. THE RETURN CODE (12) EXCEEDED THE ALLOWABLE VALUE .

Cause

The cause of the failure was due to the CDBAZFS file system not mounted or when mounted the wrong mount point was specified. 

Resolution

Verify the CDBAZFS file system is successfully mounted and that the correct mount point is specified.
During the Database Management for Db2 for z/OS native pax installation, the MOUNT is performed in hlq.SAMPJCL(DBM06MKD).
