Issue/Introduction

Object OBJ02414 is not available for any reason. Trying to open the object fails with message:

VKG0193I Obj=OBJ02414 not created yet

Component : CA Vantage Storage Resource Manager

Resolution

Be sure VKGPARM DSALLOCS is set to Y or X and that the SMF component is activated in the CONIFG member using COMP=SMF.

Additional Information

DSALLOCS

Specifies if data set space allocations are to be collected. The Data Set Allocations object monitors Data Set Allocations on the system in real time. The following are the valid values for this parameter:

Y - Monitor Data Set Space Allocations
X - Monitor Data Set Space Allocations Except PDSE

In order to verify if the SMF component is active check for the following messages in the Vantage STC log:

VAN1523I SMF Exit VANSFU83 is Installed
at first statup of Vantage or 

VAN1523I SMF Exit VANSFU83 is Reinitialized
in case Vantage was restarted
