Issue/Introduction

On virtual appliance, after recovering from a no disk space available situation, the health status check indicates that all directory DSA do not exist. 

The impd_inc trace log will show the following:

Error writing SERVER_DXGRIDFLUSH state to pid file

Environment

Release : 14.X

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Cause

If the DSA's are stopped abruptly the pid files can become corrupted. 

Resolution

  1. su - dsa prior to running these commands
  2. Ensure all the DSA's are stopped (they should be but verify they are) by running dxserver status
  3. Clear the values from $DXHOME\PID
  4. Restart all the DSA's
