SPM Discovering Tests on Juniper MX480

Issue/Introduction

I am trying to discover tests that are already configured on our Juniper MX480. The tests were configured by our Network Engineering team. I'm able to discover them with other software packages, but I'm unable to get Spectrum to discover them.

Initially the RTM_TestHost model's "TEST_DISCOVERY_MODE" attribute (0x4560094) was set to "Disabled". I changed it to "ReadOnly", but when I run the test discovery I get the following error:

SPC-OCC-11649: Test discovery is not implemented for this test host. 

 

Is there something I am missing when setting this up?

Resolution

Currently Spectrum only supports the SPM Test Discovery for Cisco devices, and SystemEDG_Hosts. The Juniper devices are not supported for test discovery. 

The "Spectrum Performance Manager" guide - "Working with Performance Tests" - "Discover Tests in the Network" section, contains the requirements for running SPM Test Discovery, which states: 

"Considerations 

• Administrator role privileges are required to use SPM Test Discovery. 

• Use a device that SPM Test Discovery supports."
