Spectrum SPM unable to discover Tests on certain devices

Issue/Introduction

When trying to discover tests that are already configured on a Fortinet switch, Spectrum is unable to discover them.

Initially the RTM_TestHost model's "TEST_DISCOVERY_MODE" attribute (0x4560094) was set to "Disabled". Even after changing this to "ReadOnly", and re-running the test discovery, the following error results:

SPC-OCC-11649: Test discovery is not implemented for this test host. 

 

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum all currently supported releases

Cause

The Juniper devices are not supported for test discovery. 

Resolution

Currently Spectrum only supports the SPM Test Discovery for certain devices such as Cisco devices, SystemEDG_Hosts and some others. The following section in our TechDocs lists these:

Only devices that support the MIBs listed in this section of the TechDocs guide can be discovered by SPM.
