SYSVIEW ISPF function startup error GSVX301E x'0E' or x'0F' is invalid as an attribute character

Issue/Introduction

When I enter 'SV' on ISPF,  the following messages are shown.

GSVX300E Call to ISPLINK for DISPLAY service failed - RC=020
GSVX300E Call to ISPLINK for DISPLAY service failed - RC=020
GSVX301E x'0E' or x'0F' is invalid as an attribute character.
GSVX301E x'0E' or x'0F' is invalid as an attribute character.

How can I resolve these messages?

Resolution

These  messages are caused by mismatch between the terminal type setting in the emulator and ISPF when using DBCS and Kanji.

If  you are using a 3278 terminal type, change it to 3278KN.

If using a 3277 terminal type, change it to 3277KN.
