Is it possible to monitor Automatic windows services using RSP.

Issue/Introduction

This document explains on creating a monitoring profile and generate alarms for Automatic running windows services using RSP probe.

 

Environment

UIM : 8.5 or later

rsp : 5.x

Resolution

Yes, you can create a profile and generate an alert to monitor Windows Services running with "Automatic" state However we cannot create profiles for all the services running with "Automatic" state at a time (Cannot do bulk configuration).

This should be done for each service separately.

You can right click on the profile added in rsp probe and then click on "Windows Services", so that all the services in the server will be listed as below.
