Error installing SO05225

Issue/Introduction

Hello,

I am upgrading VM:secure 3.2 to support z/VM 7.1. I have found two updates:

SO05225

SO01600

I applied SO01600 and it went on fine.

 

When I try SO05225 , I get the message:

 VMFINS INSTALL INFO ( NOMEMO ENV SO05225                    

VMFUTL2767I Reading VMFINS DEFAULTS X for additional options

VMFINS2760I VMFINS processing started                       

VMFMHR2737E Tape does not contain a table of contents       

VMFINS2760I VMFINS processing completed unsuccessfully      

Ready(00100); T=0.01/0.01 13:22:03                          

 

How do I fix that?

Resolution

There are TWO procedures to install maintenance, one for PTFs and another for RSUs.

 

The VMFREC procedure is to apply PTFs.

The VMFINS procedure is for RSU.

The customer was using the process 'Installing an RSU' to install a PTF.

The customer needs to run the 'Servicing your product'
