Monitor Editing results in a 500 Error

Issue/Introduction

We cannot edit monitors or save new uploaded scripts. Usually we are brought to a testing page and then lets us save. We are getting a 500 server error page and this is for both saving with testing and saving without testing. 

Environment

Release : 10.1

Component : CA APP SYNTHETIC MONITOR (WATCHMOUSE)

Cause

Per Engineering, this problem was caused by "too many script monitors"  and the scripts run out of memory when validating the form.

Engineering cleaned the script history and the problem was resolved for now.

Resolution

 

Engineering has prepared a fix for the next hotfix to make the script validation more efficient. The fix is ready for next hotfix (10.3.1)
