Issue/Introduction

When using $DSCALL OPT=SUBMIT to submit job, two regions behave differently: on one region, job is running with the region ID, while on another it's running under the end user one.

Environment

Release : 12.2

Component : CA NetMaster Network Management for TCP/IP

Cause

Even if the Netmaster region is using SEC=NMSAF, "NMSECURITY Dataset Security Exits" parameters are incorrectly set to NMDSNCHK=NMDSNCHK and NMDSSCHK=NMDSSCHK.

Per "NMSECURITY - Dataset Security Exits" panel help:

Dataset Access Authorization Exit(NMDSNCHK) specifies the load name of the NMDSNCHK exit. This exit controls user authority when executing the ALLOCATE command and FTS functions.

The default is NMDSNCHK. If the region is set up with NMSAF security, the default is NMSECDSN.

Dataset Services Authorization(NMDSSCHK) specifies the load name of the NMDSSCHK exit. This exit controls user authority when performing Dataset Services functions.

The default is NMDSSCHK. If the region is set up with NMSAF security, the default is NMSECDSS.

Resolution

With SEC=NMSAF, set NMDSNCHK=NMSECDSN and NMDSSCHK=NMSECDSS.
