TEWS call to IDM tasks being timed out intermittently. Producer Session is closed on destination iam_im-IMSEvents on messaging engine IDM_Cluster.000-iam_im-IMSBus and cannot be used

Issue/Introduction

Issue where the TEWS call to IDM are being timed out. On checking the sysout logs on the websphere application server (version 8.5.5.13) we are seeing the below error.

"ERROR [ims.tmt.events] com.ibm.ws.sib.processor.exceptions.SIMPSessionUnavailableException: CWSIK0021E: Producer Session is closed on destination iam_im-IMSEvents on messaging engine IDM_Cluster.000-iam_im-IMSBus and cannot be used."

Resolution

Restarting the app server resolved the issue.
