The situation described in the message can be resolved by resizing the database and then increasing the message limit via configuration manager.
This is the sequence of steps required to increase the limit:
Configuration Manager > Expert Interface > Automation -> Web Message Viewing > Click in Configure -> Manage Database Settings -> Message limit
Note, this change will recycle the CA Automation Point Web Message Server.
