Issue/Introduction

Attempting to apply multiple PTF's to XCOM R12. 

These PTF's resulted in STATUS = REC  APP  ERR,   but are pre-reqs for RO96651, RO97232, RO97936, RO98273, and RO98302 which are also STATUS = REC  APP  ERR.

Should I simply not introduce these seven PTF's into my environment  as they do not apply to my environment?

Multiple errors like this are in the output:

Cause

Problems with access to OMVS/USS objects which are required to relink XCOM module XCOMCINT

Resolution

It is necessary to resolve the problems with access to OMVS/USS objects which are required to relink XCOM module XCOMCINT

It is important to apply this maintenance, because any future fixes for TCP/IP or compression methods will require all of the same fixes as pre-requisites. If an emergency fix is required to that module going forward, this problem could cause a serious delay in being able to apply a fix.

The only real solution to this problem is to regain authority to access the necessary USS files.
