Issue/Introduction

Merge job abended with user abend U0100 in module ADSDM222+002ABA:

PET202I USER ABEND(U0100) AT PSW(078D1000 0010570A).        

PET206I ABEND OCCURRED AT PGM(ADSDM222.ADSDM222+002ABA)...

Resolution

The U0100 Abend is issued because the POINT macro for the output data set failed. Following the related messages from MSGPRINT:
ADSDM222 9999 DDNAME=ARCHIVE1 POINT FAILURE PRV=013ADE6B 

It looks like that the POINT macro failed because of hardware problems with the tape device for which the following message was issued.
