HTTPS SSL Support for Event Manager in Performance Management

Issue/Introduction

In the Performance Management Performance Center web UI, when choosing to Edit the Event Manager Data Source, there is a radio button to select between HTTP and HTTPS.

How do we configure the Event Manager Data Source to use HTTPS SSL?

Environment

All supported Performance Management releases

Cause

This configuration is at this time unsupported.

Resolution

To have the Event Manager Data Source support HTTPS SSL configurations would require an Enhancement Request.

In properly configured environments, the PC Console and SSO Service ports are the only ones that should be directly accessible to end users.

Additional Information

This applies to the Device Manager service as well.

Enhancement Requests can be submitted via Idea post submissions in the DxNetOps Community site covering the Performance Management product.
