Issue/Introduction

The MTC-DBM Detector (PDT) UI fails to connect to the Db2 subsystems after logon. 

Message:
Xnet socket error - Environment Prefix:  Host: xxxx.xxxxxxx.xxx Port: nnnn Reason: Xnet Connection failure
Xnet SSL Socket connection failure: EDC8128I Connection refused. (Connection refused) was encountered

Environment

Release : 20.0
Component : CA Detector for DB2 for z/OS

Cause

The XNET STC was not started at the time the DBMDS task tried to connect to it.

Resolution

It is necessary for the XNET STC to be completely initialized and connected to the Xmanager STC prior to starting the DBMDS STC.

 

Additional Information

If the DBMDS STC starts before the XNET STC the following modify command can be invoked to establish a healthy connection
between the DBMDS task and the XNET task:

/f STCNAME,APPL=REFRESH

Also, for automation purposes, automation can trigger off the following XNET message: xntDRV002I CA Xnet initialization complete
