Execute Package option E gets a PKMR244E 'EXECUTION N/A' error

Issue/Introduction

Trying to execute an Endevor package but keep getting this message:

Installation Specification does not allow background execution of packages

Resolution

Logon to Endevor and go to:

     

1  DISPLAY  >  3  SITE

 

On the second panel look for the  Package Processing Option --    Foreground Execution...

 

If it is set to N, then the C1DEFLTS has been set to not allow packages to use the E - Execute Package option

To allow Foreground execution of packages,  change the PKGTSO parm in the C1DEFLTS to Y.

Reassemble and link the C1DEFLTS table.
