Policy Server OpenJDK forks and other JVM support

Issue/Introduction

When installing a Policy Server, is AdoptOpenJDK the only OpenJDK fork supported by Broadcom for Layer7 SiteMinder 12.8SP3, or if other ones are supported by this product?

 

Environment

Policy Server 12.8SP8CR01 on RedHat 7;

 

Resolution

As per the Support Matrix, for 12.8SP8CR01 and lower versions, both flavor of AdoptOpenJDK and Oracle JDK 1.8.212 and higher are supported (1).

Support is provided for 11 and 17 version of AdoptOpenJDK and Oracke JDK.

Using other JVM versions are also supported, and they will fall under the "Reasonable Commercial Effort Statement" (2).
