Can we get access to a demo site ourselves ahead of launch?
We recommend setting up a test user in your actual workspace for which we can turn on the new UI. That way you can see what it looks like with your organization’s configuration and data. To do this, simply create the user and request it be toggled on through your Rally contact.
What happened to the red ball in the lower right? To let people know of changes coming?
There were some placement issues with the new in-app announcements icon we added, so we took it down. We are attempting to address those issues to see if we can add it back. Stay tuned.
This was communicated to Admins, but will this be communicated to the standard users closer to the date?
The documentation of the GitHub integration can be found here. The new integration is currently in open beta and can be used by any Rally subscription with GitHub.com of GitHub Enterprise Cloud (SaaS).
Can you provide a hard copy of the changes to the new UI?
Colors are all manually assigned by the user (if different from the default).
No. Rally does not currently have a dark theme option.
Yes. The color of the icon will now represent the color assigned to the story.
There are currently 9 colors to choose from.
The functionality of colors will not change.
Yes. You can assign colors to stories individually.
Will there be an ability to turn off the colors so they are just grayscale?

Is there a dark theme option? Or just the light view you're showing now?
Does the color of the icon replace the color header on each story?

Yes, columns in the iteration status view are still customizable.
On the Portfolio Items view, there was some small print next to the percent done by story (up/down arrows).
This was the story count completed. For example, if the percent complete by story count was 50 percent, the small text might say “10/20 stories complete”.
In a view like portfolio items to add fields, will it auto space/size the new fields?
It will. We are looking to make improvements to this aspect of the new grids prior to release.
On the Portfolio Items View, is this a new feature showing # of user stories/total user stories for a feature completed as part of % done by story?
It is not new; this exists in the UI today. It was not added as part of this release.

In the Iteration Track page, Scheduled state did not show the Releases(R) tile. is that a change?
Release is and will remain an option for Scheduled State.
Can you explain how the Schedule State display has changed? What do all of the letters mean? Is this included in the update?
The display letters that you have in your system today for schedule state will be the same in the upcoming release. Please note that the schedule states you see in Rally screenshots or demos may differ from what you see in your organization’s workspace, as we are using a demo environment. What will look different is the color, size and spacing of the schedule state boxes, as well as the ability to update schedule states via dropdown.
Do user stories have a new schedule state?
No. There is no change to the functionality of a user story.
Is the abbreviation for "in progress" changing from "P" to "I" just like April introduced in the task view?

We have made several accessibility-related updates in this release including updates to make views more screen reader friendly, give better color contrast options, and tab through improvements.
Grid and Board Usability
Is re-prioritization suppressed in the iteration board view when dragging between columns?
Yes. Dragging a card to new state will not cause card to be re-ranked.
Hello, I was hoping that adjusting column size would be smoother?
Assuming we mean on the grid pages – this has not yet been addressed, but it is in our list of upcoming improvements.
You had mentioned something about ranking, where the ranking won't be adjusted.
On Portfolio Kanban, there had been an issue where items were re-ranked in unexpected ways when dragging cards from one state to another. That issue has been addressed in this release.
Any updates to Kanban board functionality?
Assuming this is referring to the Kanban App there have not been any changes made there.
We are using GitLab. Are there plans for similar integrations with GitLab?
We will be tackling bringing the GitHub integration that is currently in open beta to GA as our next step, then working on the version compatible with GitHub Enterprise Server (on-prem). After that, we hope to tackle similar functionality for both BitBucket and GitLab, but we do not have a firm timeline in which this work will be started and completed.
Are there any plans to integrate the Jenkins with Rally?
Please see the existing Jenkins plug-in information here. We are also evaluating if we will bring in more functionality around Jenkins through our new native GitHub integration approach, but that work is still in evaluation.
Can the GitHub integration be added at a Project level or only across a workspace?
The known limitation around the integration app installation is on the GitHub side. GitHub allows only one integration app installation per GitHub org. If you need the integration to be able to scan and link to more than one Rally Project from that specific GitHub org, you will need to set up the integration using an API key with workspace, or subscription level admin privileges. More details on how the API key and permissions work can be found here. We strongly recommend configuring the integration app at the GitHub all repository level to the Rally subscription level in almost all cases.
Is there a cost for this GitHub functionality?
No, there is no cost for the GitHub integration.

How do you get to the pages sidebar again?
Followup to Personalized Nav - if you toggle Personalized Navigation off after having set it up, do you lose the pinned pages when you re-enable it?
