What is the difference between archiving an Endevor element (ARCHIVE action) and Transfering an element to an archive file?

Issue/Introduction

What is the difference between archiving an Endevor element using ARCHIVE action and transfering an element to an archive file using TRANSFER action ?

Resolution

There is no difference in what gets written to the file (history, component list, etc).

The difference is in the method used to get the info back.

- RESTORE gets everything back.

- TRANSFER doesn't get back component list info and only gets history if WITH HISTORY option is used.
