CA Network Flow Analysis (NetQos / NFA)

Issue/Introduction

Have installed a second harvester and would like to direct some traffic to it .Rather then reconfigure the network devices we would like to put the two harvesters behind a load balancer

Will this work and if so are there any caveats .

Resolution

Load balancing with harvesters may not change the destination harvester automatically, and may require adjusting your mapped rules as which are configured in the load balancer itself.

When sending flows to a load balancer, you'll need to use rules to always send those device flows to the same destination harvester IP.  This may be done by configuring the single IP Load Balancer, but setting a specific destination ports in the netflow router configuration. As the load balancer gets those flows, it can look at the port and determines which harvester to send the flow to, which you'll need to define through its rule table.
