Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Catalog, The following error appears in F12 Developer Tools (Console Tab) when editing/saving/fulfilling a request in Service Catalog:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'substring' of undefined

    at _writeOption (formdesigner.js:62)

    at _traverse (formdesigner.js:70)

    at HTMLInputElement.<anonymous> (formdesigner.js:542)

    at Function.each (jquery.js:1)

    at init.each (jquery.js:1)

    at Object.serializeForms (formdesigner.js:483)

    at HTMLDivElement.<anonymous> (formdesigner.js:784)

    at Function.each (jquery.js:1)

    at init.each (jquery.js:1)

    at Object.evalNewForms (formdesigner.js:761)

 

Cause

browser cache is causing the issue to occur

Environment

Release : 14.1

Component : CA SERVICE CATALOG

Resolution

1. Delete all cache from the browser

2. Close all browser windows and ensure no browser process is running

3. Log into Catalog and save changes. This time will work.
