CA View - Tapes not Getting Scratched

Issue/Introduction

The client is migrating tapes and has used the SARPAC process, to which they receive an INDEX ONLY message.

The database has SARINIT setting of NGENI=1.

Resolution

The tape would not be expired by View, as it contained the latest valid index backup.

The recommendation is for the client to start the View SARSTC task, force a View backup, then stop the SARSTC task.
