Issue/Introduction

In Performance Management when a Data Aggregator is present, the Data Repository leverages the third party Vertica database software. The Vertica software supports a data streaming tool, KafkaExport.

Does the Performance Management implementation of the Vertica database support use of the KafkaExport tools from Vertica?

All supported Performance Management releases

Cause

The goal is to stream data using KafkaExport in favor of the traditional OData REST API calls for data export.

Resolution

There is currently no support for the KafkaExport tool in the Performance Management implementation of the Vertica database. There are no plans to provide support for this or other data streaming tools outside of the supported OpenAPI Odata query tools.
