DX Unified Infrastructure Management (Nimsoft / UIM)

Issue/Introduction

We are implementing UIM weblogic probe for Weblogic Environment Monitoring and the customer has the monitoring requirements listed below in addition to some weblogic parameters. I don't see any metrics for these parameters in the weblogic probe. Could you please check and confirm ? This is one of the critical deliverable's and would like to know the possibilities of monitoring from UIM.

OSB (Oracle Service Bus):

Proxy Service Status

Proxy Service Errors (%)

Proxy Service Processing Time

Business Service Status

Business Service Errors (%)

Business Service Processing Time

SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) :

SOA Composite Health Status

SOA Composite Instance Failures

Environment

Release : 9.0.2

Component : UNIFIED INFRASTRUCTURE MGMT

Cause

- Inquiry

Resolution

None of the following monitoring options listed below are currently provided 'out of the box' for OSB or SOA using the weblogic probe.

That said, its still possible to leverage one or more probes to monitor OSB.

SNMP
snmpcollector/snmptd (traps)
You can use OID’s (Object Identfiers) and MIBs within WebLogic which contain predefined SNMP objects to monitor.

Log Monitoring
You can use logmon to monitor OSB log files and alarm on errors/failures/exceptions.

Web Services
You can use webservicemon to monitor webservice URIs/URLs

The weblogic metrics are listed here:

https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/ca-unified-infrastructure-management-probes/GA/monitoring/servers-and-application-infrastructure/weblogic-weblogic-monitoring.html

Those metrics listed are not currently included in the weblogic probe. The probe would have to be enhanced to include the metrics listed.
