Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to allocate a capture data set ?SYSVIEW.CAPDATA.Thhmmss.Dyymmdd? created by SYSVIEW Event Capture processing on a specific volume?

 

Resolution

There are allocation options in the CNM4BPRM parmlib member CAPTURE that allows specific information based on SMS or volser to be selected.

AllocDataClass  : The value can be any valid SMS data class name.
AllocStorClass   : The value can be any valid SMS storage class name.
AllocMgmtClass : The value can be any valid SMS management class name.

AllocUnit           : The value can be any valid unit name.
AllocVolser        : The value can be any valid volume serial number.

Also, the CAPPARMS command can be issued to overwrite each parameter.
