Issue/Introduction

How does the event named 'Notification without Escalation' operate?

Environment

CA Asset Portfolio Management 14.1, any patch level.

Resolution

The purpose of the 'notification without escalation' event type is to send just one initial email and a reminder. If the recipient does not acknowledge the notification and/or the reminder, then the event is marked as failed.

The object (like assets, contacts, companies, etc.) where the event was triggered can be viewed on the object details pages, under 'view audit history' -> triggered event history. After selecting the 'triggered event history', you can see either a completed, failed, or in progress status for the event.

Whether this specific event fails or completes, the event will NOT trigger again UNTIL the conditions for the event have been met again.
