Issue/Introduction

   Are there any special considerations for moving our systems to a Sysplex or Monoplex environment??

All supported Releases 

 

Resolution

If a site has multiple Systems sharing DASD, define queue names. If a site is using MIM Resource Sharing or IBM Global Resource Serialization (GRS), include the queue names in the appropriate Global Resource Queue Name Table.

Note:   PDSE libraries are not shared across Systems.  You need to specify in the SYS1.PARMLIB -

              PDSESHARING(EXTENDED)

PDSESHARING NORMAL (default) a user on one system has a PDSE open for output, a user from another system cannot open it. 

PDSESHARING EXTENDED users on multiple systems could have the PDSE open for input or output.
