Issue/Introduction

When running U7SVC to DEMAND a job from CA 7 and the USERID of the job executing U7SVC does not have access to the job being DEMANDed no messages are displayed to show the USERID does not have access to the job. However, the following messages do appear in the CA 7 LOG dataset:

    SPO7-02  JOB JOB1 NOT FOUND IN JOB DATASET

    CAL2170I - ACCESS DENIED BASED ON UID

 

What can be done to get these messages displayed when executing U7SVC? 

Resolution

The U7SVC process of sending commands to CA 7 is much like the SASSTRLR program. The command(s) are given to CA 7 to be processed, but no information is received from CA7 as to whether the command(s) are successful. The BTI (and CCI) process can be used to see the output of the processing of the command(s), if this is needed.
