Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) and XML Core Services Unsupported

Issue/Introduction

The customer moved the Windows Client from an their old Windows 2008 server to the new Windows 2016 server.

Now they find an unsupported Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) and XML Core Services on their Windows 2016 server.

The server is home of their Vantage Windows client and they suspect that in the course of the installation of the Vantage Windows client,

the old XML2 came with it. 

Can this XML 2.0 (msxml2.dll) be deleted from there?

Resolution

Unfortunately, the Windows Client won't work properly without this component.
If the client due to company security policy cannot use msxml2.dll
we would recommend a migration to the Web Client interface if possible.
