Environment

Release : 12.5

Component : CA Disk Backup and Restore

Resolution

To correct the problem you are having, add volumes to the Archive pool you are using.

Go into the CA Disk Systems Guide, in Chapt 16, PARMLIB, look for the topic:

Special Rules for POOLDEFS

In this CA Disk Parmlib member are a number of entries of the format: 'POOLNAME DATASETNAME'

Each poolname refers to a member which lists the volumes to be used for allocating

the ARCHVOLS DATASETNAME to be created by the backup/archive job writing to Disk Archvols,

which is indicated by the ARC0NAME Sysparm.

If you can locate this member and then add volumes to that pool, then you will have corrected your problem.
